Instagram founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger are
working together once again, this time to come together to fight the coronavirus spreading in the US. Together, the two have launched a website, which
will show live data of COVID-19 virus rate spreading from one person to
another.
Their website is RT.live, this website will collect data from the
COVID tracking project. It is an organization that collects testing and
infection rates to calculate whether the infection has spread in the United
States.
The RT.live website currently tracks the Reproduction Rate
(RT) of the coronavirus in all US states. Through this website, an estimate is
given as to how many people have fallen victim to this infection due to a
single human being.
According to the website, a value greater than 1.0 means
that more cases can be expected, whereas a value less than 1.0 means that fewer
cases may occur at that place.
This data of the website helps to know where and how much
this virus has spread, which has spread globally at this time. According to the
website's data, 15 out of 50 states in the US have less than 1 RT of the virus.
The data at 4 pm on 20 April shows that the COVID-19 epidemic is the lowest and
slowest in the state of Connecticut, with an RT of 0.42.
At the same time, in
other states like Vermont, Colorado and Alabama, the virus has been average,
even in these states, the virus did not grow. However, the same data shows that
this dangerous virus is steadily increasing in North Dakota, South Carolina and
Ohio. New York is the most severely affected state in America. This state falls
on the red line in case of COVID-19 infection.
