Plan to make the platform more secure in 90 days

Zoom has been under the question of security reasons for some time, everyone is advising not to use the Zoom app. Even big security agencies have advised government officials not to use this app. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Zoom announced in its Video Communications that it was upgrading encryption features in its video conferencing app to provide better protection of data and protection against tampering.

The company said in its statement that the new version of this app is Zoom 5.0, which will be released within this week. The new version will get many features with better encryption, data routing control, improved host control.

Let us tell you, the number of users of Zoom app has increased from 10 million daily users to 200 million daily users in the last three months. However, the number of users has decreased after security researchers found bugs in it.

At the same time, the company has also failed to state that its service was not encrypted end-to-end.

This app saw problems like "Zoombombing", in which the unsuspecting members became part of the conferencing. Because of this, some companies, schools and governments have stopped using it.

The company has launched a 90-day plan to address the security problem, and for this, the company has appointed former Facebook security chief Alex Stamos as an advisor. This app competes in the market with video conferencing apps like Microsoft Teams and Cisco's Webex.

Zoom stated that they have made several changes to their user interfaces, including more protection for password and checking of uninvited members. The biggest change is the AES 256-bit GCM encryption standard. The company says that some features have also been made available.

Zoom CEO Eric S. Yuan said We want to build a business that brings customers happiness. We believe in our customers Want to earn and give them happiness."
